Some people want to get it right--even after a long stretch of getting it wrong. There's no life deadline for starting over.
Damascus' Mission is to be the change, find a new path and create solutions to reentry that actually work. We are not a social services agency. We are a community. That might seem a little touchy-feely for a business; we're OK with that. What makes Damascus unique: we spend time with men and women while they are incarcerated, continue the relationship through their transition home and provide support toward a sustainable life. We're in it together.

Transformation happens when people feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves--whether that is a spiritual relationship or an earthly one. At Damascus, we build relationships with our workers and with our partners. We hold each other accountable. We celebrate the successes. We work through the missteps. We forgive and we keep moving. Damascus didn't create that formula, God did. With that author, we think it's worth building our company on.

Everyone makes mistakes. EVERYONE. God doesn't rank mistakes and neither do we. There's no "them" and "us" -- just US.
